The Gush Etzion Foundation

Ryan Levin was appointed Executive Director of the Gush Etzion Foundation in January 2025. He brings to the role a wealth of experience in leadership, education, and fundraising, plus a passion for Zionism and a commitment to strengthening the bonds between Diaspora Jewry and Israel. A local resident, Ryan is dedicated to preserving the heritage and promoting the future of Gush Etzion. He is fluent in English and Hebrew and brings exceptional interpersonal skills, creative thinking, and strategic vision to his role.
Ryan grew up in Australia, where he set up and led Bnei Akiva Sydney’s North Shore branch, setting the tone for his lifelong dedication to Jewish education and Zionist values. He earned an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, plus a qualification in Fundraising and Development from the University of California - Davis, that has guided his career in community development and resource management.
Ryan married Yael and made Aliyah in 2019. He received rabbinical ordination from Yeshivat Har Etzion in Gush Etzion after studying there from 2011-2014, and was then invited to spend four years teaching at Mizrachi’s Yavneh College in Melbourne.
Since returning to Israel in 2018, Ryan’s professional journey has included various roles in educational tourism, community leadership, and strategic planning, all with a focus on empowering Jewish communities and fostering connections with Israel. Prior to joining the Foundation, he served as Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Netzach Educational Network in Beitar, where he expanded the donor base and developed modern resource development systems.
As Executive Director, Ryan Levin is committed to driving the mission of the Gush Etzion Foundation forward, ensuring that the Gush Etzion region continues to thrive as a model for resilience and Jewish unity.
